Shame! How many prof in India really work in labs with students nowadays? They call themselves 'advisors'; conduct 'group meet' as a formality; go around the world in the name of collaboration; take corresponding/ even first authorship. But the student will work day and night in the lab with the help of fellow students/ seniors. This should change in India.

Can Dr.Abi defend my argument? I think he cannot, because this is the true face of IITs and IISc. Students are like slaves for 5-7 years PhD. Ofcourse, many students enjoy being slaves.

It would be really interesting if the poorly paid research adviser of the PhD student responds to the ad, trying to make a little money on the side.

Perhaps, like Kekule's snake, the head will bite the tail, and these two will rediscover Benzene. Or perhaps, Tetrahydrocannabinol, which is what we Sadhus like during the time of Kumbh.

    Peace!
