Distance education in physiotherapy?

“We are prima facie of the opinion that professional cources must impart practical training. Therefore professional courses should not be allowed to be imparted through distance education,” said a division bench comprising chief justice MK Sharma and justice Hima Kohli.

The court was hearing a PIL filed by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists’s seeking recognition of those institutes, which are offering correspondence courses in psysiotherapy.

  1. My mom used to joke that her brother learnt swimming and horse riding through correspondence. (30 days series?)

  2. Neha, I tried the real, not-distance-education version of a swimming class; I might as well have gone with the distance-education version!
