Summer research programs for undergrads

Aswin has compiled the various options that are available for undergrad students interested in a summer research internship. There are millions of students pursuing UG programs in science and engineering, but I bet the total number of research internships is probably only in the thousands ...

  1. Thanks aswin and abi, for the nice compilation. It would be of great help if abi could compile such summer internships/fellowships available for teachers like the one offered by Indian academy of sciences.

  2. Hi Abi, thanks for the link!
And I think the total number of internships would be under 1000. Jncasr is abt 150.. IAS is again around 150. The numbers in the rest of the progs might not be this high. In fact, in some of the physics institutes, it could be as low as 10. Unless I have missed some big program, the number may not even touch 1000. (I could have easily missed something in Bio..)

    Rama,
I dont have much konwledge on the Teachers front. But, apart the IAS scheme, institutes like iucaa do have periodic Astro-related progs for teachers.

  3. Rama, Aswin: Thanks for your comments. Rama: I am not aware of programs for teachers. If I come across any, I will post it here.
