Phyllis Rostykus on Women Scientists in Films

In her Slate article -- The Real Real Genius -- she says, "Thirty years ago, I helped inspire the lead female character in the classic nerd movie. I finally understand why some critics disliked its portrayal of women."

  1. Just to remind you of a woman in films who was a scientist, it was Hedy Lamarr's (Delilah!) 101st birthday this week. Google had a wonderful doodle on her. Here is her wikipaedia entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedy_Lamarr. Nerd scientist?

    Happy Diwali all.
