    Thanks for the link to the article about Verma. Now various Internet sources are collecting songs from such people and making available to the general public songs etc from the thirties onwards. There is one drool.com for Tamil songs with many articles and there is one site called The Hub which seem to have many knowledgeable people (I too participate there since I am familiar with some Tamil songs from forties and fifties). There are some sites from abroad which discuss songs and dances from indiian films. The blog discusses often dances from south Indian films
