Interesting presentation. Based on my calculations, now, most IIT Professors should be above the "air-line", making more than $80 a day. Most assistant and associate professors are probably above the "wash-line" now, but, below the "air-line".
Postdocs and PhD students are unfortunately, still below the "wash line", but above the "light-bulb" line. That is good, since the light bulb represents new ideas. And, there is always a dhobi for the laundry.
