Voices, IISc's student magazine, is now online

Yes, finally.

Unlike last time, it is really available to the the whole wide world outside IISc (I checked it from home myself). This, I'm sure, is great news for a lot of people -- especially IISc alumni. The February 2009 issue is here.

Congratulations to the Voices team! And, many thanks for taking your magazine online.

Thanks to Rupesh, a member of the Voices team, for the alert.

On the same lines IISc/IIT/IISERS and the media/tech industry should next think of starting good "networked" ST Journalism/communication programs across the country. This can also become a medium of motivating folks to ST and research. This program can be networked across with IISc's Currents and Resonance magazine and other govt. programs like ISCS
This is already a big boom area in the West and definitely another avenue for future growth....Otherwise in future India will be again paying subscriptions to buy US S&T magazines like the academic journals.
