Just learned that Bangalore is on Google Maps. Many areas -- such as the IISc campus -- lack details, and it didn't work when I asked for directions from Malleswaram to Ulsoor; worse, it didn't even recognize Ulsoor and Malleswaram as legitimate queries. Bad Google!

What do you know, Chennai's there too. It even shows train stations, bus terminuses, and a map-satellite hybrid. Neat.
ReplyDeleteDriving directions would be a whole other challenge, given the complete lack of method in street numbering in most Indian cities.

which shows yeshwantpur bus stand. you can trace IISc from here if you know the road. you can add your own texts indicating your Lab. Trace your Lab, mark it and tell me. May be at least I can see your vehicle parked outside your Lab (if not you)!
Rahul: I'm sure Google will eventually start offering all these wonderful services for Indian cities. We'll just have to wait.
