A must read ...

... on the "central role of control groups in causal inference". Gary King has a great (but quite short) post on how he used the same technique in a kindergarten class as well as a Harvard graduate class to teach the importance of control groups in experiments. Everybody has loads of fun, and the lesson is unforgettable!
