5 Vadas
Sambhar that defines the word 'sublime'
1 Badam Halwa

... and three very satisfied customers.

When you get all this for 71 rupees, you are grateful for the existence of such great institutions as the Janata Cafe (8th Cross, Malleswaram).

  1. Inspired by your post I went and had idlees and dosa for lunch, with a mango lasi.

The cost? About $12, or 525 rupees...

  2. Absolutely heavenly sambhar @ Janatha stores. Malleshwaram has some amazing places. I had written about them for DH some time back. Veena stores, Sai Shakti, Janata, CTR, Halli Mane...lip smacking. No fancy decor, no brooding waiters, just plain good food!!
